Okay, well, when you heard as a kid that no one is perfect, that same adage rings true when it comes to a credit score. It is really hard, to almost impossible, to get the perfect credit score (which is 850 if you want to know). You don’t have to be a financial guru to have a good credit score though. If you work hard and focus on main areas regarding your <a href="http://debtbillconsolidationadvice.com/debt-bill-consolidation/"title="" >debt, then you can definitely improve <a href="http://debtbillconsolidationadvice.com/do-you-have-bad-credit-need-personal-loan/"title="" >your credit score and start leaping towards that perfect credit score.

The first thing you want to do is to look at your credit report. You’ll want to make sure that there are no errors in there. If there are any incorrect missed payments or anything like that, you’ll want to contact the credit issuing agency right away to get it taken care of. Also, if there are duplicate listings for the same account (especially if that account has a missed payment or other delinquency on there) then you’ll want to make sure you get the duplicate part erased since it is affecting you negatively.

Once you have fixed any errors on your credit report, you need to start to buckle down and focus on paying off debt. The first key to improving your credit score is to not miss anymore payments. As month and months go by without a missed payment on your credit, it will steadily improve your score. Also, paying down credit helps to show that you are less of a risk so that increases your score. You want to do whatever it takes (not eat out, get a part time job, downsize, whatever) to pay down your debt to at least below 50% of your total available credit. So if you have $10,000 available credit, your score will improve once you get below $5,000 in total balance.

If you follow these tips, you’ll steadily increase your credit score and you’ll begin moving closer and closer to that perfect credit score!
