What Most People Want – Consumer Credit Card Debt Relief
What people probably need right now, considering our economic crisis is consumer credit card debt relief. There are a lot of people that really need help when it comes to handling their finances. Perhaps you are well aware that an average American owes about $8,000 or even more to credit card companies. This figure has been widely used by politicians and many others in the hope that we should now be a lot wiser when it comes to spending. However, we should not just immediately believe what we hear and take everything as if it is what actually the current situation is.
We have to understand that this figure only shows the average credit card debt. In getting the average, they simply divided the total outstanding balance which is $750.9 to the number of American households which is 84 million. This assumes that every household has at least one credit card. But the fact is that not all people have credit cards. According to the Federal Reserves, 23.8% don’t have any credit card, whatsoever. According also to them, most of the people who have outstanding balances only owe about $2,000 or less.
Now that we understand a little about consumer credit card debt statistics, does this mean we can now relax and continue with our wasteful spending? Of course not! According to the VIP forum analysis, about one third or about 36% of those who have an outstanding balance of $10,000 on their credit card, have household income less than $50,000. 13% of those people who also have the same outstanding balance have income less than $30,000. You may also be aware of the number of bankruptcies. Considering all these facts, we can then say that there are still a lot of people struggling because of their finances and this economic crisis isn’t over yet for many people throughout the country.
